You can refer to it as a food log, meal journal, or diet tracker... but we prefer to call it Awesome Meal.
Awesome Meal serves as a swift and simple approach to initiate a food diary – just capture images of your meals and access them through an interactive timeline. No intricate calorie calculations are necessary!
Originally designed for personal use, Awesome Meal was created to effortlessly record meals, track intermittent fasting schedules, and establish accountability. Now, we extend this tool to you – with proven results! Just launch the application, upload meal photos (via camera or camera roll), and you're all set.
How Awesome Meal operates:
<ul>
<li>Snap pictures of your meals (or pick from your camera roll)</li>
<li>Optionally, include a brief description and/or tags</li>
<li>Forgot to take a photo? Not an issue! Simply add a note entry</li>
<li>Save your entries and review them on the interactive meal timeline</li>
<li>Exit the app and resume your routine!</li>
</ul>
We realized that meal photos inherently contain valuable data, highlighting:
<ul>
<li>Meal timings (automatically extracted from photos)</li>
<li>Portion sizes</li>
<li>Variety of nutrients (food colors, vegetables, fruits, etc.)</li>
<li>Behavioral patterns (e.g., consistently eating late dinner during weekdays, regular afternoon coffee breaks)</li>
</ul>
Further applications of Awesome Meal:
<ul>
<li>Engaged in intermittent fasting? No problem! Track your meals during your eating window</li>
<li>Mindfully monitor caffeine, water intake, or alcohol consumption</li>
<li>Record supplement intake in relation to meals and time of day</li>
</ul>
The effectiveness of simple meal tracking is well-documented. A study conducted by Kaiser Permanente's Center for Health Research revealed that individuals who maintained daily food records shed twice as much weight compared to those who did not. Moreover, the more detailed food records participants maintained, the greater their weight loss.
